The NRCS is seeking applications for six regional organic specialists and one organic research specialist to enhance their organic expertise and support conservation efforts for organic producers and those transitioning to organic farming in the U.S., Pacific Islands, and Caribbean. Specialists will work in designated regions connected to NRCS's Regional Technical Support Centers in Greensboro, NC; Fort Worth, TX; and Portland, OR. The organic research specialist position will be remote.

These roles focus on increasing awareness of USDA's conservation initiatives related to organic farming, developing technical materials for NRCS staff, and improving outreach to provide better conservation assistance. The research specialist will specifically work on creating and sharing guidance related to organic agriculture.

Applicants should be experienced in sustainable farming practices that contribute to soil health and resource conservation. The initiative aims to generate new technical information for conservationists and organic producers, with all deliverables managed by NRCS.
